Description A rare prattware pottery figure of a horse with male rider modeled on a sponged decorated base with a green glazed top. The horse is stiffly modeled and fitted with an ochre and blue saddle. , The rider wears a maroon riding jacket trimmed with ochre, black boots, and a black top hat. A naive figure with simple and charming elegance. Figures with this type of base have been associated with the Mexborough Pottery Yorkshire.
Condition Professional invisible restoration at horses legs, reins, left arm.
