Kangxi Blue and White Porcelain Charger - 1662 to 1722 China

Description Chinese late 17th early 18th century blue and white plate made during the first half of the Emperor Kangxi's reign at Jingdezhen
Painted with a battle between Mongolian Warriors and The Imperial Chinese Army in front of a Fort or possibly a fortified town. The horseman are galloping brandishing swords and scimitars with Banner Men to the foreground.
The cavetto is painted with soldiers and warriors with rock work and a fringed willow tree.
The foliate rim is slightly barbed.
The blue is excellent with a good deep tone going to a lighter colour
To the back is a six character apocryphal Cheng Hua mark inside a double circle. The underside is painted with mountains
