Description A unique cabinet having the front and sides lavishly hand decorated entirely with leatherwork. The front design consists of vines, grapes, tendrils, scrolls and ears of wheat, tied with a leather bow. The sides are decorated with gothic shaped windows. The interior is lined with white silk. The cupboard is complete with a working lock and key. Manor houses in Wales would often store a fine bottle of claret or whiskey under lock and key, secure from the servants, and the decoration on the cabinet suggests this.
Condition The cupboard with key in very good condition. The leatherwork in remarkable condition considering it's age, and virtually in tact.
